Jáyna Moore is challenging the way the world defines beauty. Growing up, Jáyna didn’t see the beauty in the things that made her different. In fact, she lacked much confidence and didn’t begin to embrace it until her young adult years. Jáyna’s outlook on beauty began to change when she would admire her mother doing makeup before work. Her mother taught her the true meaning of makeup—that it was solely an enhancement and a form of art as well as expression. Makeup wasn’t meant to be the only thing that made a woman feel beautiful.
It wasn’t too long after when Jáyna found herself emerging into the beauty industry by watching tutorials and finding inspiration from celebrity makeup looks online that she could do on herself. What started off as a hobby soon grew and led this missional leader into her PURPOSE!
Naturally, a creative was born. Jáyna soon found a love for digital media, photography and videography. Jáyna had an eye and passion for capturing authentic moments through scrapbooking, taking pictures and creating video diaries of herself. She would let her imagination take control, pretending to be a news reporter, or capturing people doing funny things around the house. While she still enjoys making fun vlogs and capturing her life for her and her friends and family to look back on, she’s begun to capture others’ candid moments in a professional, timeless way.
While succeeding in these avenues, Jáyna was still called for more. As she began to grow, the anointing on her life could no longer hide from her. She has a heart for God, serving, helping, teaching and loving. She grew up in the church and gave her life to Christ at a pretty early age, and rededicated her life while pursuing her undergraduate degree. As she grew older, she began to develop an intimate relationship with God, which resulted in her wanting to do more with her life—specifically for the KINGDOM—while incorporating her love for entrepreneurship. This is where Women of God in Business was born.
Women of God in Business—affectionately known as W.O.G in Business—is a vision God gave Jáyna in her final year of undergrad. She was pleading with a way to get to touch more lives with the opportunities makeup artistry gave her to connect with women. It served as a way for Jáyna to have her businesses while providing a platform where other businesswomen—who also had a relationship with God, or desired one—could connect, inspire, uplift, grow and build with one another. A few years later, God revealed more of the vision. Not only is it targeted towards women of God and business owners, but He is now calling this platform to reach ANYONE who is about their Father’s business, which is ultimately walking in their God given purpose.
From this new expansion, God was calling Jáyna deeper and requiring her to use her voice—something that always made this quiet kid uncomfortable. So she did.
